Our History

Incorporated in late 2000, Quality started operations with a container dray motor carrier in 2001 with three trucks, an office trailer, and ten used container chassis. Growth was steady and difficult, but the strength of family allowed the operation to grow in what is now the uniquely Quality “Cuban style, American way.” As the business grew, so did family involvement. The inherent trust of family and the ability to communicate over meals was an important ingredient in the recipe for success.

Depot/CY operations commenced with a single steamship line, soon followed by all major lines. This was the opening of Quality into a broader company. Like trucking, Quality found the container business had a steep learning curve and required new systems and skills.

Our headquarters moved to our location in Doral where we first offered transloading operations and opened our dedicated fleet maintenance and repair operation.

We initiated container sales, opening yet another facet in the business.

Relations with the Florida East Coast Railway led to acquiring our current 17 acre rail served Depot/CY next to Miami International Airport. This motor carrier agnostic operation provides the entire South Florida logistics community improved access to steamship line equipment and facilitates operations in Florida’s ports.

Quality opens operations in Tampa, Florida, taking its Miami model to the Gulf Coast.

Quality has grown to over 200 power units and 2,000 company owned chassis. With presence in South Florida, Central Florida, the Gulf Coast and Jacksonville Quality’s family management has been supplemented with long term team members to be poised for continued growth while adhering to our ingrained desire to do things right.
